Tool overview

The Corter Knife Blade Holder by Buckleguy comes in a nicely compartmented light cardboard box, with a fun design on the front created by @Dad.Hands. Inside the box you’ll find the knife, or blade holder, as well as a small plastic tube containing a pair of fresh n°2 craft blades.

The knife itself, is made out of solid brass and is composed of 3 pieces: a handle and a 2 part cap that can be unscrewed to accept the blade. When assembled, the knife weighs in at around 4 times the weight of a traditional aluminium blade holder and you can definitely feel the difference when in use.

Talking of use, it’s the weight that really helps this tool stand above the competition! Grip is excellent thanks to the size of the handle and the ridges in the finger screw collar allow for great control during detailed cuts. Thanks to the weight of this chunk of solid brass (and using a fresh n°2 craft blade) cutting through your leather will be a blast.

Then, once you’re done with your blade, you’ll be pleased to know that changing it to a fresh blade is a matter of seconds at most, meaning you’ll never have an excuse not to have a razer sharp knife ever again.

Final thoughts

The solid brass blade handle looks and feels wonderful! It is obviously made to a very high standard and allows you to always have a sharp knife ready to go.

If you’re in the market for a new blade, at whichever stage of your leatherworking journey you are on, this is a seriously great tool to have for the price.

It’s hard not to recommend the Corter Knife Blade Holder by Buckleguy!
